Engagement Story

We were visiting John’s parents for the Thanksgiving holiday. We had just arrived the night before and awoke to go on an early morning walk on the beach, which has become a tradition when visiting Chadwick’s parents.

As we were walking along with the family dog John recreated one of my favorite scenes from Sex & the City, the Aiden and Carrie proposal. John had thoughtfully remembered and recreated this scene in such a sweet and personal way that he couldn’t even get out the question. After seeing the ring and him down on one knee all I could say was, “YES,!” which was followed up by moments of silence as I was speechless, ecstatic, and in disbelief of what just had happened and feeling like the luckiest girl in the world.
